Irvine, CA – September, 2010 – Quantimetrix joins fight against nation’s No. 1 killer.

Quantimetrix employees laced up their shoes Sunday morning, Sept. 19, to help raise awareness and funds for the American Heart Association’s Start! Orange County Heart Walk at the Great Park in Irvine.

Quantimetrix is new to the Start! Orange County Heart Walk and looks forward to participating for many years to come. This year, the company had 13 participants and raised five hundred dollars for the fight against heart disease and stroke, the No. 1 and No. 3 killers in the country.

The Start! Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s biggest fundraising event in Orange County. It aims to raise awareness and funds to help build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. The event drew more than 8,000 walkers and raised over $1 million this year. The American Heart Association’s goal is to improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20 percent while reducing deaths from cardiovascular disease and stroke by 20 percent by the year 2020. The Start! Heart Walk brings the Orange County community together to help achieve this mission. Quantimetrix is proud to be a part of these efforts.
